Freda Odion Kesa (b. 1991) in Auchi, Edo State, is a full time Studio Artist based in Lagos, Nigeria. She is a graduate of the famous colourist school of art, Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, where she obtained an OND (General Art) and an HND (Painting). She is a mixed media artist that loves to interpret her ideas with acrylic and found objects. Freda’s works mainly focus on documenting women's lives in Africa, telling their stories in a way that allows them to speak for themselves and to encourage them. At the same time, her environment serves as a theme and subject for her works. She has featured in exhibitions within and outside Lagos, Nigeria.
