Collection: Mofoluso Eludire 🇳🇬
Mofoluso Eludire (b. 1997) is a visual artist who studied Fine and Applied Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife, where she obtained a BA (Fine Arts). Her works are strongly influenced by emotions with great emphasis on the facial expressions and body language that come to life on her canvas. Currently, she aims to capture scenes where nothing much appears to be happening but which speak volumes about our individual and collective humanity. Responding to personal experience, she layers colours while showcasing her childhood prepossessions, and heritage. Mofoluso’s works attempt to create narratives that speak to the black female experience. Her practice interrogates the construction and constraints of identity, whilst offering a space for individual liberation. She works mainly in oil and acrylics.
