Collection: Mosadioluwa Washington 🇳🇬

Mosadioluwa Washington (b. 1986) in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a multidisciplinary visual artist who works with various media. He graduated with a BA Creative Arts from the University of Lagos. Prior to Unilag, he attended the Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka where he also studied and majored in painting. He has been in studio practice since 2012. Mosadioluwa has tremendously contributed to the advancement of visual arts through his role as a former Assistant General Secretary of the Society of Nigerian Artists Lagos State Chapter. He is an artist with a great passion for facial expressions and moods. and he paints on anything he finds around him. To him, art is everything you want it to be. He is inspired by day-to-day life of humans and his passion to dig deep is endless. His subjects express his experience and other people’s stories he can relate with which show the totality of how he sees life. He has exhibited his works both in Nigeria and abroad and has been nominated for several art projects and commissions. He sees his journey has an endless one as his search continues. The words of his grandma inspire his Art -  “If you want to be a fish, be a big fish”.
