Collection: Opeyemi Olukotun 🇳🇬

Opeyemi Olukotun was born in Ipetu Ijesha, Osun State in 1989. He graduated from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, OyoState, Nigeria with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Fine and Applied Arts in 2012. After graduation, he took up employment as a Creative Art teacher in a senior secondary school. In 2016, after spending two years as a teacher, he resigned his appointment to pursue a full-time career in the visual arts. Olukotun is fascinated with the human anatomy and is passionate about drawing different aspects of it - movements, facial expressions, proportions etc. He uses harmonious colours and expressionistic techniques to portray the human form. He also enjoys using visible sketchy lines on his subjects to create a steady flow and connectivity around them. He is constantly improving his drawing and painting skills. His body of works over the years have evolved around “Okada” series; “Night” series; “Market” series and faces. He has participated in several group exhibitions and competitions in Nigeria.
