Collection: Splendour Ighorodje 🇳🇬

Splendour Ighorodje is an artist and set designer. She obtained a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art Education from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. Her art cuts across digital illustrations and paintings  with sociocultural themes, soft sculptures made from plastic, papers and materials that encourage sustainability and a healthy ecosystem. She explores the relationships between nature and a technologically advanced world that we live in. Her works include giant floral sculptures and paintings. Splendour’s art involves reimagining discarded objects and experimenting with different materials to create visual metaphors and new meanings. Her paintings and drawings  explore various social issues relating to women and children. Growing up in the Niger Delta Area of Nigeria inspired her love for painting women who work very hard to meet their family needs. She has created designs and commissions for high profile companies and individuals, and has exhibited at the international level with sister art Group I.
